  • December to February (Winter): Cold in the mountains but perfect for lower altitude treks and cultural tours in Kathmandu Valley.
  • June to September (Monsoon): Heavy rainfall, not ideal for trekking. However, upper Mustang and Dolpo regions are in rain shadow and can be visited.

Weather: Varies greatly by altitude. Kathmandu averages 20-25°C in spring/autumn, while mountain regions can be freezing year-round.
